What is the TreeTest
TreeTest™ is an external assessment for measuring achievement and growth in K–12 Mathematics, English Language, and science. It provides teachers with accurate, evidence to support target and actionable instruction for each student or groups of students. It can be used for all students, whether below, at, or above grade level. It is connected to Common Core State and The Tennessee Academic Standards which provide a common set of expectations for what students will know and be able to do at the end of a grade and for each subject area. These standards are rooted in the knowledge and skills students need to succeed in their postsecondary studies. The first phase of TreeTest™ is directed to grades 4 to 9.
TreeTest™ benefits schools when all students learn and progress each year to become knowledgeable thinkers, good citizens, and valuable members of the community. Academic standards that are aligned with TreeTest™ are an important part of TreeTest™ purpose. Standards are the grade- or course-level expectations for what students should know and be able to do.
